Q&A

Question

My sublimation printer can print larger than my press. How can I press an item that is larger than my press?

Answer

You can print in sections by using several pressings over one large area but, if the image is continuous, this will result in a seam/line/color change between the two sections.

Applying transfers in pieces is only possible if the artwork or design is split and the section you have already pressed can be draped off the table so it is not reheated again. This is especially true of large format sublimation printing.

For this reason, it is absolutely necessary to use a large format heat press to apply a continuous transfer over a large area.
