Q&A

Question

I'm printing laser transfers. How do I know if the toner has fused to the heat transfer paper?
Asked by - Printwear Reader

Answer

Once the image is printed, use a tissue to lightly rub the printed area. If color from the image rubs off onto the tissue (the tissue no long remains white), the toner is not properly fused.

If this is the case, increase your printer paper settings to a heavier setting. By increasing to a heavier setting, the printer slows down, which increases the heat that melts the toner, allowing it to fuse to the transfer paper properly. The image is properly fused and ready for transfer once the image is printed and no color rubs off on the tissue.
