Most oversized design are stitched onto the panels of the cap before the cap is assembled. Many contract companies provide this service and it is a very popular process overseas, especially in China.

However, there are aftermarket accessories to help accommodate oversized designs and allow the user to frame the cap in more unconventional ways. In this case, an embroidery machine utilizes  tubular arms so that the aftermarket framing systems can be used. Many of the different systems can clamp down on the cap in areas that a traditional cap frame cannot reach.

Also opt for unstructured caps. Because they are so pliable an embroiderer can utilize the tubular hoops for placement in many different areas of the cap.
