A kiss cut can minimize the steps needed in a multicolor appliqué process, as it cuts all the appliqué fabrics together with a pressure-sensitive material. This means that the material is pre-aligned and assembled in layers before stitching. Using the kiss cut approach eliminates certain steps, like placement and tack-down stitching, from each color. As a result, the embroidery process becomes more efficient. This process is especially helpful when working with athletic uniforms that require multiple colors and layers.
