WHITTIER, Calif.—DecoNetwork CEO Neil Pentland faces murder charges in a 20-year-old case in Gold Coast, Australia. Local news outlets report Pentland was charged earlier this week, and a second man was also charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
DecoNetwork issued a response on their website, updating users on the status of the company, and states that Pentland maintains his innocence.
“DecoNetwork is owned by a broad range of investors and these events will have no impact on the operations and financial stability of the company,” the organization states.
In light of the events, global operations manager Adam Pentland assumes the role of CEO while Neil Pentland steps down.
Pentland took the helm as CEO of the e-commerce solutions company in the spring of 2016 after serving as chairman and commercial manager.
