PITTSBURGH—Sporting goods retailer DICK’S Sporting Goods announces the launch of a new online service for youth apparel and sports registration, DICK’S Team Sports HQ. The website is a multi-purpose hub for youth sports that offers three services: registration for team websites, donation and sponsorship access, and custom uniform design.
“DICK'S Team Sports HQ will be able to deliver an unparalleled service to youth teams and leagues across the country, allowing coaches to focus on developing their athletes,” says Lauren Hobart, executive vice president and CMO at DICK'S Sporting Goods.
The software on the site is designed to streamline the registration process for teams, as well as improve scheduling capabilities for coaches and league organizers. The platform also allows for organizers and parents to order custom designed team apparel directly from the website.
"Our unique service is delivered to users via their youth sports leagues’ online registration process and homepage. During preseason registration, we provide simple process with a single checkout that allows players to register, select uniform, indicate the preferred size, number and name," explains Mark Rooks, Vice President of Community Marketing at DICK'S Sporting Goods, adding that as the company receives feedback on the new service, DICK'S plans to "evolve our offering to meet the changing demands of the marketplace."
In addition to scheduling and custom design options, the DICK’S Team Sports HQ site will give teams easy access to sponsorships and donations available from DICK’s Sporting Goods.
