MIDLOTHIAN, Texas—Ennis sales manager Lowell Lumpkin passed away Dec. 25, 2016 at the age of 73. Lumpkin served various roles in the printing industry for nearly 50 years, including Midwest sales manager for Ennis, a position he had held since 2004.
“Lowell was one of the most knowledgeable industry experts I’ve known,” says Terry Pennington, vice president of sales at Ennis. “He could tell you the best type of equipment and if it was uncommon, he immediately knew the small list of manufacturers that could produce it. His knowledge, hard work, and friendship were unique and he will be missed.”
Lumpkin is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan Brady Lumpkin, his daughter Colette Moorman, and his son Jon. Also surviving are sisters Coleen Greenville and Sherry Dayton; sister-in-law Donna Lumpkin; brothers-in-law Art Smith and Frank Matanzo; nephews Travis Lumpkin and Arthur Dale Smith; and nieces Robin Gunckle, Stacie Turner, Christine Swank, and Megan Schrimmer.
