Larry the Cable Guy Wears Patriotism on Sleeve


PLYMOUTH, Minn.—Lynsey Friedman Birnbaum, director of licensing for A+E Networks Consumer Products and Brad Peterson, founder of Performance Headwear II announce a licensing pact under which Plymouth, Minn.-based Performance Headwear II will produce Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy emblazoned T-shirts and hats.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on HISTORY, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy features the comic crisscrossing the nation, going off the beaten path to find the people, places and things that define America’s unique history. When it premiered in February, the show drew 4.1 million viewers, reportedly making it the best-ever first quarter series launch in total viewers on HISTORY. Official apparel from the show’s first licensing deal is expected to hit retail second quarter 2011, just in time for the 4th of July holiday.
