SUWANEE, Ga.—Mimaki achieves sustainability certification for its dye sublimation inks. The Sb54/310/410 and Sb320/420 inks now hold the ECO PASSPORT certification from OEKO-TEX.
The ECO PASSPORT program verifies textile chemicals for their sustainability. This verification process includes authenticating the safety of chemicals used in textile dyes, pigments, and finishing agents. Certification covers all stages of raw materials, products, and company environment. To pass certification, materials must meet more than 300 qualities that apply to harmful substances.
Mimaki received certification through Nissenken Quality Evaluation Center, based in Japan. Through the certification, the inks join the ranks of the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, a lineup that includes more than 150,000 recipients worldwide.
