ROSELLE, Ill.—The M&R Companies names industry veteran Danny Sweem as the company’s next CEO. Sweem takes over the role from current CEO and founder Rich Hoffman beginning June 4, 2018.
Sweem comes to the position with extensive experience in the screen-printing industry, most recently with Nazdar SourceOne. During his time with the company, Sweem served as vice president of the company's textile inks business unit. Prior to his time at Nazdar SourceOne, Sweem served in multiple positions at Rutland Plastics Technologies including vice president.
“It’s exciting to be joining the M&R team,” states Sweem. “Rich and Elizabeth Hoffman have built an amazing company and I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead this exceptional organization of creative, dedicated, and talented people. This is a terrific opportunity that any leader would be pleased to accept."
“Having held several strategic positions within the screen printing industry, I am positive that Danny’s vast knowledge and proven growth strategies will be a tremendous asset to M&R’s future growth,” adds Hoffman.
Hoffman remains at M&R as Sweem transitions into his new position with the company.
The news comes as the company continues to grow over recent years. In late 2015, M&R moved into a new 320,000-square-foot facility in Roselle, Illinois after operating in the Glen Ellyn and Niles area for three decades. Since then the organization has seen other significant changes like the Spring 2017 acquisition of New Hampshire-based grand-format printer manufacturers Novus Imaging and an equipment design collaboration with a major manufacturing group Shenzen, China.
