THE NBM SHOW Kicks Off This Week in Long Beach

BROOMFIELD, Colo.—THE NBM SHOW takes place in Long Beach, California on July 20–22, with new products and technology from the top manufacturers in the apparel decoration, awards and engraving, and sign and digital graphics industries. Epson and Equipment Zone cover the direct-to-garment process in full detail including machine maintenance, pretreatment, artwork preparation, and pricing techniques. The class is designed for those new to direct-to-garment technology.

This class demonstrates how to create rhinestone and glitter vinyl designs with a vinyl cutter and a heat press. Instructors explain how decorators can increase perceived value with the decoration method and charge more for their decorated apparel products.

Attendees learn the essential tools and techniques in the graphics suite, CorelDRAW with this class. The class discusses approaches for various types of decorators including screen printers, embroiderers, and digital printers.

Screen Print with Just a Heat Press

Presented by Transfer Express
Transfer Express demonstrates how decorators can start a T-shirt business with a heat press and software design tools. The class also covers how to use a variety of print options including glitter, full color, names, and numbers.

A unique feature of THE NBM SHOW in Long Beach is the Hands-On training demonstrations, which allow attendees to touch, try, create, and experiment with materials and techniques.

Hirsch offers a detailed look at the company’s newest product line, the Brother GT-3 direct-to-garment printers. Experts from the Hirsch team demonstrate key tasks like pretreatment, printing, and curing techniques onsite. Attendees also have the chance to ask questions and participate in the printing process.

Johnson Plastics hosts a training experience on sublimating with fluorescent ink. Experts cover the process of sublimating with vibrant fluorescent colors that help samples stand out from the crowd. The company covers the entire range of this process from working with spot colors in a graphics program to printing with a RIP Program and sublimating a finished sample.
