KENT, Ohio—The National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP) releases its preliminary class lineup for two stops of the Embroidery & Digitizing Conference. The conference is co-located with THE NBM SHOW in Cleveland and Indianapolis.
“We are excited to present this Embroidery & Digitizing Conference in conjunction with NBM,” says Jennifer Cox, president of NNEP. “We know from our daily interactions with embroidery and apparel decoration business owners that they want to continue to build their businesses.”
The Cleveland stop takes place June 14 and 16, while the Indianapolis classes run on September 13 and 15.
The conferences give shops an opportunity to explore new decoration methods and learn new business and marketing approaches such as digital marketing. In addition to marketing and decoration-oriented classes, Cox notes that digitizing is also on the agenda.
“For the digitizing side of the conference, the sessions will focus on skills more than software,” states Cox. “You’ll learn how to master digitizing split front appliqués, for example, no matter what software you use.” Creating excellent small lettering is a skill set that every good digitizer needs, and there will be education focused on that as well.”
Topics for the Embroidery & Digitizing Conference include:
Tricks for Hooping Difficult Materials
Machine Maintenance and Proper Tension
Split Front Appliqués
Production Strategies for Maximum Output
Design Tips and Software Advice
Time slots and speakers for the classes will be announced closer to the conference.
