MIRA LOMA, Calif.—Penn Emblem receives the Platinum Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certification at the company’s Mexico location. The certification signifies that Penn Emblem promotes a safe and ethical workplace, and adheres to lawful practices.
WRAP certification requires businesses to adhere to 12 principles, all centered around providing a safe, human, and ethical working environment. Karina Jiminez, plant manager for Penn Emblem Mexico accepted the award. This is the third year the company has participated, and the first time Penn Emblem has achieved platinum status, the highest certification level available.
The WRAP announcement is the latest milestone this year for safety compliance at Penn Emblem Mexico. In March 2016, the company received a safety achievement award from Captive Resources, a consulting company that awards businesses for thorough safety and loss prevention practices.
