CLEVELAND—PolyOne Corporation appoints Dr. David A. Jarus to vice president of research and development. Jarus replaces Dr. Christopher J. Murphy who retires this July after a 33-year career with the company.
In his new role, Jarus is responsible for driving innovation and developing new solutions across all markets at PolyOne. As vice president of research and development, Jarus collaborates with the company’s technical teams, corporate marketing group, business units, external technology resources, and institutions to develop these solutions.

Jarus’ career with PolyOne dates back to 2000 when he joined the organization as an advanced research and development scientist. Since 2000, Jarus has held various leadership positions at the company including global technology director for the specialty engineered materials department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science from Case Western Reserve University.
PolyOne holds its annual Investor Day on May 10 where it offers participants a chance to meet with Jarus.
