World Emblem International (Miami) expands its team with the addition of three new employees. Jason Green joins the
company as its new director of plant operations. Green’s responsibilities include managing production at World Emblem’s six locations in the United States as well as collaborating with the 60,000 sq.-ft. manufacturing operation in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
World Emblem’s Miami headquarters welcomes Harold Montenegro as the new production manager. Montenegro will be responsible for running the company’s largest U.S. production facility. Jose Barrios joins World Emblem’s Information Technology team as a network administrator in its Miami headquarters, also working with its six U.S. and Mexico locations to maintain the network.
Joe Tutak joins STAHLS’ Transfer Express (Mentor, Ohio) as the new mana
ger of marketing and sales. Tutak has a 20-year background in marketing, sales, public relations and promotions, working in several industries, most recently in telecommunications. His responsibilities include supervising all marketing, sales, business development and customer/dealer services for Transfer Express.
Teresa Moisant, MAS, owner and president of Moisant Promotional Products (Oklahoma City) is named one of the Top 10 Women To Watch by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI). The inaugural awards ceremony was held during the ASI Women’s Summit Feb. 18 in Dallas. Moisant has also been honored by The Journal Record not only as one of six Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO’s for 2011 for small businesses with 50 or fewer employees, but also as one of 50 Women Making A Difference for 2009 and 2010. She has also twice been named Ambassador of the Year by PPAI.
Charles River Apparel (Sharon, Mass.) announces that Nancy Wood, a sales
representative who has been with the company more than 25 years, was awarded the Three River Advertising Specialty Association (TRASA) 2011 Supplier/Vendor of the Year award. Wood is also the current president of the Chesapeake Promotional Products Association (CPPA) for 2011.
Polyconcept North America (Pittsburgh) announces that Mary Beach, business development representative, has passed the certification examination administered by PPAI to receive her Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) industry certification. Beach met the requirements for CAS designation through a combination of her years working in the industry, completing a curriculum that included a minimum of 75 hours of coursework, and a passing score on the CAS exam. Reportedly less than 3 percent of industry professionals have achieved their CAS or Master Advertising Specialist (MAS) certification.
Mary Ellen Nichols, MAS, of Bodek and Rhodes (Philadelphia), is honored by ASI as one of the 10 Women to Watch in the promotional-products industry. Nichols, along with nine other “trail-blazing women who are making a big impact,” received her honor at the ASI Women’s Summit in Dallas, which also featured former First Lady Laura Bush as its keynote speaker.
