VANCOUVER, Wash.—Ryonet launches the “Summer of Printing for Positivity” contest. With prizes for first-, second-, and third-place winners, the contest encourages printers to show how they are giving back with their business.
Ryonet says the contest is a way of showing decorators how they can “pay it forward” through apparel decoration and community involvement. The company asks entrants to submit a 90-second video explaining why they deserve the grand prize and how they’d used the equipment to give back. The grand-prize winner takes home a screen-printing press, and second- and third-place winners also receive a variety of screen-printing supplies. Deadline for entries is July 9 at 11 p.m. PDT.
Contest judges include Ryonet founder and CEO Ryan Moor as well as the following individuals:
Amy Baker, owner and art director at Threadbare Print House
Mel Lay, founder of Sandilake Clothing
Travis “The Featherhawk” Snyder, industry activist and public speaker
The contest is open to U.S. residents 18 years and older.
