BOLINGBROOK, Ill.—S&S Activewear expands its distribution network with a new facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The 493,000 square-foot building brings the company’s nationwide operating space to more than 2.2 million sq. ft. S&S expects to open the Texas distribution center during the fourth quarter of 2017 and add 300 new jobs in the state.
The new facility widens the organization’s one-day shipping coverage to greater Texas including Dallas, Forth Worth, Houston, and Austin. In addition to Texas, the Fort Worth location covers one-day shipping to Oklahoma, Northern Louisiana, and select cities in Arkansas, including Little Rock.
“We are continuing our rapid expansion to meet the growing demands of our loyal customer base,” says Frank Myers, Chief Operating Officer at S&S. “Our aim is to provide customers across the country with what they need when they need it; the widest and deepest inventory pulled with the best accuracy, and delivered in the shortest transit times.”
The new facility boasts the company’s proprietary technology found in other distribution centers across the country. Fort Worth marks the latest expansion of the company’s distribution network. Since 2016, S&S has expanded and opened facilities in states like New Jersey and Kansas.
