YAVNE, Israel—Velvet Jet pigment ink, made by the textile ink division of Israel-based Bordeaux Digital PrintInk, receives the Global Organic Textile Standard approval.
GOTS approval represents the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers and treatments. A product must pass rigorous testing before it can meet GOTS approval. GOTS defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
According to Velvet Jet, the GOTS certification further assures that its pigment ink is the most ecological choice without the user having to compromise quality. The company says its ink maintains uniform coverage for prints on any type of fabric while still preserving the natural feel of those fabrics.
Velvet Jet says its pigment inks are allergenic-free, water-based, and require only a single pretreatment to all types of fabrics, meaning no steaming or post-print washing is required. With no wash and dry cycles, there is a dramatic reduction in water usage and electricity.
Velvet Jet ink is used by home textile, fashion, décor, and garment manufacturers that print digitally.
