Do you prefer to use split liner tape or solvent resistant tape on your screens?

Answer

Neither. I prefer to spend less money and have less adhesive on my mesh and frame. I use the lowest cost packing tape I can find. Low cost means there will be little adhesive to leave a residue on the screen and frame.

I also line the insides of our screens with plastic sheets, such as those that come off capillary film or wax paper. This makes it so that little tape touches the mesh because I tape the frame to plastic or wax paper, and the plastic or wax paper to the mesh. I only use emulsion or capillary film where there is an image, which speeds up the cleanup process by simply pulling the tape and plastic or wax paper out in one pull.
