How does the climate affect my digital direct-to-substrate/garment (D2) printer?

Answer

Digital inks are water-based, so the climate is definitely a factor in print quality. As a rule, D2 printers should not be exposed to extreme heat or cold, but a moderate humidity level should be maintained in the work area. Do not place the printer under or near a heating vent, or in the direct path of any extreme airflow caused by a fan or air conditioner as this can tend to dry out ink on the print head and could cause poor printing results and other problems.
