What do I do when a client tells me "I need it tomorrow"?

There are situations where a rush order is really necessary. But more often than not, the client’s need for the rush is not nearly as critical as they would have you believe. To weed out the “I want it now” from the “I need it now" clients, implement a Rush Fee Policy. Charge them a fee to guarantee a quick turnaround. I’ve seen this fee range anywhere from $10–50, depending on the size and nature of the order. For the people that really do need it, the fee is usually not an issue. For the people that want it done now, but do not need it done now, this fee backs them down to work on a more reasonable timeframe.
